Lawmakers introduce SERV Act to support Veteran entrepreneurs

February 5, 2025

Congressman Mark Alford (MO-04), Congresswoman Sharice Davids (D-KS), and Congressman Herb Conaway (D-NJ) introduced the Successful Entrepreneurship for Reservists and Veterans (SERV) Act to improve veteran and reservist access to business credit.

The SERV Act commissions a GAO study on veterans' ability to secure credit and directs the Interagency Task Force on Veterans Small Business Development to promote available programs.

“This bill is a win for veterans and our country,” said Alford. Davids highlighted barriers veterans face in entrepreneurship, while Conaway emphasized Congress’s duty to support them.
