Rep. Davids host Veterans Day event, awards stolen medals

KANSAS CITY — Rep. Sharice Davids, D-Kan, participated in a ceremony aimed at honoring local veterans, with a particular focus on celebrating the service and sacrifices they have made.

This event was more than just a ceremonial gathering; it served to highlight and address the sometimes-overlooked contributions of veterans within the community.  

A significant moment during the event occurred when Rep.  Davids returned stolen medals to a Vietnam veteran.

This action was not merely symbolic but represented a heartfelt effort by Davids and her office, who played a critical role in facilitating the return of these medals.

The event reminds the pubic of the importance of veterans in the local community and to provide tangible recognition of their service.  

Rep. Davids, says she is proud to address issues facing veterans, whether through legislative means or through acts of individual kindness and acknowledgment.
