Davids Announces New District Director for Kansas Office

November 20, 2023

Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced Anne Hucker, a longtime resident of the Kansas City area, will serve as Davids’ new District Director for Kansas’ Third Congressional District. Hucker will lead a dedicated team working to connect with the community and ensure the federal government works for Kansans.

“I am very pleased to welcome Anne Hucker to my team,” said Davids. “I’m confident she’ll use her deep connections to the Kansas City area as well as her long history working in a variety of federal government positions to build an open line of communication to folks in all corners of Kansas’ Third District. We have a lot to get done — including lowering grocery and gas costs, building safer roads, and making health care more affordable — and I’m excited to do this work alongside Anne.”

“I am thrilled to be joining Representative Davids’ stellar team and am looking forward to connecting with more of our neighbors to ensure the federal government serves them effectively,” said Anne Hucker, District Director, Office of Representative Sharice Davids. “I started my career in the public sector, so this feels a bit like going back to my roots. Whether it be helping folks get their Social Security and veterans benefits or navigating different federal processes, folks should always feel free to contact our office for assistance. We’re here to help.”

Before joining Davids’ team, Hucker began her career working in the U.S. Congress for former Representative Ike Skelton of Missouri’s Fourth District, which lies southwest of Kansas City, and the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, Hucker worked for multiple law firms throughout the Kansas City area, specializing in litigation. Hucker also clerked for the Honorable Ortrie Smith at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

All Kansans living in the Third District are encouraged to contact Davids’ team if they are experiencing issues with a federal government office or process. Davids’ office, which is physically located in Corporate Woods in Overland Park, can be reached at (913) 621-0832.
