Davids Calls for Submissions to Fifth Annual “Valentines for Vets” Program
Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced the launch of her fifth annual "Valentines for Vets" program to collect and distribute Valentine's Day cards to veterans and caregivers in the Kansas Third District.
Residents are encouraged to mail cards to Davids' office in Kansas City or email a card message to KS03valentinesforvets@gmail.com starting today through Monday, February 13. Davids will then deliver the submitted cards to Kansas veterans and caregivers at the Lenexa VA.
"The Valentines for Vets program offers us way for us to show our appreciation for those who have sacrificed so much to keep us safe. I hope many of our neighbors here in Kansas will choose to participate in this heartwarming tradition, as I know our office looks forward to delivering these messages of gratitude to veterans and their families each year," said Davids.
In previous years, Kansans have crafted hundreds of handwritten messages for local veterans as part of Davids' Valentines for Vets program.
