Davids Statement on Supreme Court’s Presidential Immunity Decision

Today, Representative Sharice Davids released the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court announced its decision in Trump v. United States. Davids has said time and again that no one is above the law, including politicians or former Presidents.

 “I have always said that no one is above the law, including Presidents from either party. The former President's reckless actions, which instilled fear and incited violence, demand accountability. However, this goes beyond one individual. The public deserves to have full faith in the people representing them now and in the future, but that’s impossible if bad actors can evade consequences solely based on their title.”
