ICYMI: Davids Joins Kansas Delegation to Honor Victims of Flight AA5342 Collision
Washington, D.C. – Last night, Representative Sharice Davids joined her colleagues from the Kansas congressional delegation in a moment of silence on the House floor to honor the victims of last week’s tragic flight collision. The moment of silence served as a recognition of the lives lost on AA5342 and the devastation felt by the families and the Kansas community.
"I joined my colleagues from the Kansas delegation to honor the lives lost and the families impacted by this heartbreaking tragedy," said Davids. "In this time of grief, we stand united with the victims' families, offering our support and compassion. While no words can undo the pain they are feeling, we are committed to ensuring their loved ones are never forgotten and will work tirelessly to help prevent such a tragedy from happening again."

Davids, alongside her Kansas colleagues, expressed their steadfast solidarity with the families and communities affected by the tragedy. Last week, the entire Kansas congressional delegation released a joint statement in response to the devastating collision. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is currently investigating the incident, and based on its findings, Davids and her colleagues on the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee’s Aviation Subcommittee will take the necessary legislative measures to ensure this type of tragedy does not happen again.
