Reps. Davids and Cleaver Release Video Encouraging COVID-19 Vaccinations
Today, Representatives Sharice Davids (KS-03) and Emanuel Cleaver (MO-05) released a video encouraging their constituents to get their COVID vaccines. Davids, who was diagnosed with COVID earlier this month after being vaccinated, also published a guest column in the Washington Post encouraging readers to not only get vaccinated, but also to be a resource for others who are considering receiving the shot.

As COVID-19 case rates continue to rise in recent weeks largely due to the Delta variant's spread among unvaccinated populations, Davids and Cleaver, who received their vaccine together in January, are asking individuals in their districts to join them in getting vaccinated. Folks can visit vaccines.gov to find out how and where to get the vaccine or visit the Coronavirus Resource Center on Davids' website for more helpful information.

In the Washington Post, Davids writes, "I called my doctor and received a positive result from a PCR test, confirming what I suspected. Though fully vaccinated for months, I had just contracted COVID-19. As the latest public figure to become a so-called "breakthrough" coronavirus case, I have one message from this experience: everyone should get vaccinated as soon as possible."
