WATCH: Davids Holds Facebook Live with Secretary Delia Garcia

Earlier today, Representative Sharice Davids held a Facebook Live with Kansas Department of Labor Secretary Delia Garcia to answer questions about support for Kansas workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

"The unemployment numbers in Kansas are staggering – and behind each number is a real person who is hurting right now. I was glad Secretary Garcia could join me today to help explain how Kansans can access critical assistance through the Department of Labor, and to help alleviate some uncertainty clouding workers in our state. My office will continue to put working people first and connect them with the resources they need during this crisis," said Davids.

Last week, Davids voted for the bipartisan CARES Act, which provided $260 billion in expanded unemployment benefits. She also voted for legislation to expand paid emergency leave to as many as 87 million U.S. workers. Both of these bills are now law.
