Congressional Sustainable Aviation Caucus
Representatives Sharice Davids (D-KS-03) and Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA-01) co-chair the Congressional Sustainable Aviation Caucus. Reducing the aviation industry’s impact on the environment is a key focus for Congress, the public, and the aviation community. There are many initiatives underway to move forward these sustainability goals and aspirations through the adoption of sustainable aviation fuel and by integrating technology and solutions that improve the fuel efficiency of aircraft and reduce emissions. The Caucus provides a forum for keeping abreast of these initiatives and assessing the policy, process, and resources to further environmental gains, fuel supply resiliency, and national security.

Programming
- July 2025 Staff Visit to NASA Langley Research Center - Hampton, VA
- Staff were able to speak directly with NASA's leading experts on advanced and sustainable aviation. The delegation was also shown:
- NASA's fleet of advanced testing aircraft, including work being done on SAF;
- wind tunnel testing facilities;
- the Simulation Development & Analysis Branch, including the Air Traffic Operations Lab and eVTOL/AAM Cockpit Motion Facility; and,
- the breadth of work being done by the Systems Analysis and Concepts Directorate (SACD).

Today, Representatives Sharice Davids (D-KS-03) and Dusty Johnson (R-SD-AL) announced the creation of the Congressional Sustainable Aviation Caucus (CSAC). Co-chaired by Davids and Johnson, the caucus will work to reduce the aviation industry’s environmental impact and maximize its financial sustainability.
