Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced the launch of her annual Valentines for Vets program, which collects and distributes Valentine’s Day cards to veterans and their caregivers across Kansas’ Third District. Residents are encouraged to drop off cards in person or mail them to Davids’ Overland Park office from now through Friday, February 13. Davids will personally deliver the cards to Kansas veterans and caregivers at a local Veterans Affairs (VA) facility.

U.S. Representatives Tracey Mann (KS-01) and Sharice Davids (KS-03) introduced the Motor Carrier Safety Screening Modernization Act. If passed and signed into law, this legislation would improve motor carrier safety by expanding access to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) voluntary safety data screening program for both prospective and current drivers. The bill also modernizes the process for drivers and carriers to challenge inaccurate data on their records.
