Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced that 13 students from the Kansas Third District have successfully received their appointments to a U.S. Service Academy. In a send-off event in Overland Park yesterday, Davids presented each student with a certificate acknowledging their incredible achievement, andRyan Rast, a Davids-nominated student and recent graduate of West Point, shared his advice as these students take the next step in their service.

Yesterday, during the U.S. House Agriculture Committee's mark-up of a Republican-drafted Farm Bill reauthorization, Representative Sharice Davids commended several initiatives aimed at strengthening Kansas' agricultural economy, but voted against the bill as it pits farmers against families and has no realistic pathway to becoming law.

Today, Representative Sharice Davids reiterated her commitment to passing a Farm Bill that is bipartisan and has a realistic chance of becoming law. The Farm Bill, which includes provisions expiring on September 30, is a package of legislation reauthorized about every five years that includes several critically important agriculture, conservation, nutrition, and trade programs. Davids is a member of the U.S.

Today, Representative Sharice Davids voted for a bipartisan, bicameral compromise to improve customer protections and accessibility while flying, increase America’s aviation safety standards, and strengthen domestic aviation workforce and manufacturing.

Recently, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced Kansas would receive $28.65 million from the bipartisan infrastructure law to help identify and replace lead service lines, preventing exposure to lead in drinking water.

This weekend, Representative Sharice Davids hosted a reception honoring the student applicants who participated in her 2024 Congressional Art Competition. This year, Davids’ office received a record-breaking 35 student submissions, doubling the number from previous years.
