In 2022 alone, Davids' office has opened over 90 cases for constituents having issues securing a new or renewed passport before their international travel.

Last month, Representative Sharice Davids, whose mother served in the army for 20 years, voted to pass this bill, which authorizes $40,027,000 to expand outpatient services at the Kansas City, Missouri VA.

The CHIPS and Science Act is a major investment in domestic semiconductor chip manufacturing and includes support for small- and medium-sized manufacturers, a Davids-led priority to ensure funding is distributed beyond large corporations. The bill now heads to the President's desk to be signed into law.
Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced the National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded $1,487,766 to Johnson County Community College's (JCCC) STEM Scholars Program. The program works to increase STEM degree completion of low-income, high-achieving undergraduates with demonstrated financial need. In the next six years, the project will provide scholarships to 54 students pursuing associate degrees in STEM fields with the intent to transfer to a 4-year university.

The Respect for Marriage Act would also provide additional legal protections for marriage equality from those seeking to undermine it at the state level.
Today, Representative Sharice Davids introduced legislation to increase access to birth control and reproductive health care services. The Expanding Access to Family Planning Act would fund the Title X Family Planning program, which provides comprehensive, confidential family planning and preventive health services, often to low-income or minority populations. Currently, there are three Title X clinics in Kansas' Third District.
