Rep. Sharice Davids' (KS-03) first bill to designate the Quindaro Townsite in Kansas City, Kansas as a National Commemorative Site passed in the U.S. House of Representatives today.
The bipartisan legislation, co-sponsored by Rep. Emanuel Cleaver II (MO-05), Rep. Steve Watkins (KS-02), and Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02), honors the significant history of Quindaro, which served as a key stop on the Underground Railroad, and helps preserve the site for future generations.

"Today I will vote for a bipartisan bill to support and defend the Constitution and the core principle of separation of powers. The President's use of an emergency declaration to build his ineffective wall - with money intended for the military - is dangerous to national security and our democracy.
