(KCTV) - Representatives Sharice Davids (KS-03) and Emanuel Cleaver (MO-05) pushed for answers Thursday from the U.S. Department of State Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs Rita Bitter. In prior months, both offices have received an increase in messages from constituents experiencing dramatic delays in requesting passports.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Summertime travel is starting to heat up, but many are still waiting for their U.S. Passport to arrive in the mail.

 

For some, it’s been more than a four-month wait.

 

On Thursday, two local congressmen sent a letter to the Department of State to try and help get those passports completed faster.

On Thursday, May 25, Congressman Jake LaTurner (R-KS) announced that he voted in favor of House Resolution 467, the HALT Fentanyl Act.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The United States has quite the bill to pay in just a few days.

 

On June 1, the government is supposed to pay its veterans 12 billion dollars as a part of their benefits.

 

If the U.S. defaults on its loans, those payments may be delayed. The treasury will make the ultimate decision on who receives a check.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Gardner-Edgerton high school student will have her work of art on display in the nation's capital for a year.

U.S. Representative Sharice Davids announced Kinsey Savage's submission titled "Wander Through the Woods" won the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for the Third District in Kansas.
