Representative Sharice Davids joined nearly a dozen of her colleagues to urge the Department of the Army to prioritize funding for flood mitigation and prevention projects along the lower Missouri River. The bipartisan, bicameral letter comes as the Department is beginning to allocate funding from the new bipartisan infrastructure law for projects in fiscal year 2022.

Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced that Kansas has received a record $72.1 million to help families afford energy costs this winter—more than double the state's typical annual investment. Davids is the only member of the Kansas delegation to vote for the American Rescue Plan, which delivered this increase in energy cost assistance to Kansans across the state.

Today, Representative Sharice Davids joined a Kansan impacted by unexpected medical bills and other health advocates to applaud newly-enacted consumer protections against surprise medical billing practices. Created by a 2020 law known as the "No Surprises Act," which also included Davids' original legislation to promote insurer transparency so that patients don't unintentionally receive out-of-network care, these protections took effect on January 1, 2022.

OLATHE, KS – Representative Sharice Davids, Vice Chair of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, joined the Johnson County Airport Commission and Olathe Chamber of Commerce to reopen Taxiway Alpha today at the Johnson County Executive Airport. The $4.2 million renovation of the aging taxiway was 100% funded by the Federal Aviation Administration's Airport Improvement Program, which Davids has voted to support.
