Today, Representative Sharice Davids voted to pass major economic legislation aimed at addressing current supply chain issues and promoting long-term American competitiveness. The America COMPETES Act contains several of Davids' priorities, including incentives for domestic semiconductor manufacturing, resources to strengthen supply chains and reduce inflation, and policies that will promote American global leadership amongst countries like China.
Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced that Kansas will receive $58.6 million in new federal funding from the bipartisan infrastructure law to clean up more than 5,400 hazardous, abandoned oil and gas wells that are polluting backyards, recreation areas, and public spaces across Kansas. Residents are encouraged to mail cards to Davids' office in Kansas City or email a card message to KS03valentinesforvets@gmail.com starting today through Saturday, February 12. Davids will then deliver the submitted cards to Kansas veterans and caregivers.

Today, Representative Sharice Davids toured Cherub Medical Supplies, a Shawnee-based supplier of pediatric medical devices that is grappling with long delays due to the current shortage of critical materials like semiconductors. Davids joined Cherub and another local company, Lenexa-based Reliable Medical Supplies, to urge passage of legislation that would reduce our reliance on foreign-made materials and deliver these lifesaving devices to Kansans in need.
