She also expressed concern over Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach’s continued legal attack on the medication, which was approved decades ago and is used in more than 60 countries to safely end a pregnancy.

Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine. Mifepristone, which was originally approved for use more than 20 years ago, is a safe and effective medication used in over half of all abortions in the United States.

Today, Representative Sharice Davids introduced a bipartisan bill designed to help rural hospitals remain open and improve health care services. The Rural Hospital Revitalization Act would offer interest-free loans through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Community Facilities Program. Hospitals could use the loans, available for up to 10 years, to build new facilities or update older buildings.
