Today, Representative Sharice Davids released a Job Seekers Guide to help former Yellow Corporation (Yellow Corp.) employees, who were laid off earlier this month, support themselves and their families while searching for new employment. The guide includes federal, state, and local resources to apply for emergency unemployment insurance, find new career opportunities, and lower costs on everyday necessities.

Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded two grants totaling $1,197,968 to the University of Kansas Cancer Center (KUCC) to advance cancer treatment, cause, and prevention research. Last week, Davids also announced multiple federal grants to boost medical research capabilities at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC).

Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded Kansas with $4 million to reduce harmful air pollution and clean up the state’s environment. The Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) program was created by the Inflation Reduction Act, which is the most significant climate legislation in U.S. history.
