Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) awarded $200,000 to the Kansas Department of Commerce's State Trade Expansion Program (STEP). This funding will help Kansas small businesses begin to export goods and help existing exporters expand.
Yesterday, during a meeting with the Kansas Farm Bureau's Leadership Class, Representative Sharice Davids was presented with the "Friend of Farm Bureau" award from the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF). The award is given to Members of Congress who have supported farmers, ranchers, and agricultural communities in the 117th Congress. Davids was nominated by the Kansas Farm Bureau and approved by the AFBF Board of Directors.
Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced her office has officially helped recover over $11 million owed to local taxpayers in the Kansas Third District. This milestone highlights the success of Davids' robust constituent service efforts, a priority she's maintained since taking office. Of the $11 million, Davids' office recovered over $7 million in missing IRS tax returns.

Davids' visit follows House passage of her bipartisan bill, the Women's Business Centers Improvement Act, which would increase access to resources and opportunities for female entrepreneurs in Kansas and across the country. In 2021, the Kansas City WBC assisted 513 local small business owners with counseling, training, and resources.

Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced the Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) has been awarded an initial grant of $25 million to help plug 67 abandoned oil wells in Johnson County and 176 in Miami County. This historic investment is part of the $58.6 million in bipartisan infrastructure law funding that will create good-paying, union jobs, introduce new economic opportunity, and reduce dangerous methane leaks at the 5,400 abandoned wells in Kansas.
Yesterday, Representative Sharice Davids released a report on the new health insurance savings Kansans can soon utilize thanks to the new health care law that passed earlier this month. Davids held a press conference to share what Kansans must know to take advantage of the new provisions.
