Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced the United States Department of Commerce has awarded $692,664 to the Kansas Department of Commerce to help close the digital equity gap in Kansas. Delivered through the bipartisan infrastructure law, which Davids was the only member of the Kansas delegation to support, this federal funding will help ensure all Kansans have the capacity to thrive in our digital economy.

Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced new cost savings and tax incentives for Kansans who electrify their home and vehicles. The tax credits and rebates are available to households who install new energy-efficient windows, doors, water heaters, furnaces, and other appliances or purchase a new or used electric vehicle.

OSAWATOMIE, KS - Today, Representative Sharice Davids joined the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) to officially announce a federal grant of $24,821,705 has been awarded to improve and expand the Flint Hills Trail. This "Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity" (RAISE) grant will help make infrastructure improvements on 40.5 miles of the trail and open 27 new miles of the trail, from Council Grove to Herington.

DESOTO, KS - Today, Representative Sharice Davids hosted a conversation with DeSoto elected officials and local leaders on how she can best support the community from a federal level as they prepare to welcome a new Panasonic Energy manufacturing plant. Davids worked closely with Governor Laura Kelly and a bipartisan group of local leaders in government and business to help attract the $4 billion investment.

Today, Representative Sharice Davids introduced a bipartisan bill designed to help rural hospitals remain open and improve health care services. The Rural Hospital Revitalization Act would offer interest-free loans through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Community Facilities Program. Hospitals could use the loans, available for up to 10 years, to build new facilities or update older buildings.
