Representatives Sharice Davids has been selected to serve on the Congressional Escort Committee ahead of tonight's State of the Union address.
Davids will join bipartisan group of members, including House and Senate Leadership and Representative Deb Haaland, in escorting the President to the House Chamber for the State of the Union address.

Representative Sharice Davids announced today that she will bring veteran and Purple Heart recipient Kyle Prellberg from Overland Park, Kansas as her guest to the State of the Union Address in Washington, DC on February 4.
Prellberg was injured while serving in Afghanistan in 2012 but due to an error did not receive a Purple Heart. With the help of Rep. Davids' office, Prellberg was able to receive his Purple Heart and was connected with the Veterans Community Project, which provided him with housing.
Representative Sharice Davids (KS-03) challenged Representative Eric Swalwell (CA-15) to a friendly wager on whether Kansas City or the San Francisco 49ers will take home Sunday's Super Bowl LIV championship title.
Davids will provide Swalwell's office with world-famous Kansas City barbeque if the 49ers win; Swalwell will provide Davids' office with chocolate from Blommer Chocolate Company if Kansas City wins. Additionally, the member from the losing team will have to wear the winning team's jersey for one day.
