Today, Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-03) announced that she will host Laura Robeson as her guest to the State of the Union address on February 5th. Robeson is a mother and healthcare advocate from Prairie Village, Kansas. Her 7-year-old son Danny was born prematurely and has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and cortical vision impairment—health conditions that could be considered pre-existing conditions.
I am relieved that we have reached an agreement to open the government, fund our federal programs, and get our federal employees back to work with the paychecks they deserve. I look forward to working together with lawmakers from both parties to reach a long-term solution.
Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-03) has been named to the House Small Business Committee. The House Small Business Committee is responsible for overseeing the challenges facing small businesses and serves as the primary venue for overseeing the SBA and handling small business policy matters.
Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-03) has announced that she will open a Wyandotte County office in downtown Kansas City. The new office will be in the Brotherhood Building at 7th and Minnesota and will be accessible by public transportation, with a bus stop nearby.
