Sharice Davids (KS-03) has co-sponsored the "Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act," a bipartisan bill sponsored in the last Congress by her predecessor that would help ease green card backlogs for those facing the longest wait times and help businesses in the Kansas third district retain the high-skilled staff they need to be competitive and grow the local economy.

Today, Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-03) announced that she will host Laura Robeson as her guest to the State of the Union address on February 5th. Robeson is a mother and healthcare advocate from Prairie Village, Kansas. Her 7-year-old son Danny was born prematurely and has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and cortical vision impairment—health conditions that could be considered pre-existing conditions.

Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-03) has been named to the House Small Business Committee. The House Small Business Committee is responsible for overseeing the challenges facing small businesses and serves as the primary venue for overseeing the SBA and handling small business policy matters.

Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-03) has announced that she will open a Wyandotte County office in downtown Kansas City. The new office will be in the Brotherhood Building at 7th and Minnesota and will be accessible by public transportation, with a bus stop nearby.

Today, Congresswoman Sharice Davids launched "Sharice's Shift" - an ongoing outreach program designed to connect directly with local workers, businesses, and everyday people throughout the Third District.

At each "Sharice's Shift" event, Rep. Davids will meet with and shadow employees at work. The program's first installment took place this afternoon at Shawnee coffee shop Espresso Yourself.
