Rep. Sharice Davids today announced her support of The Protecting Pre-Existing Conditions & Making Health Care More Affordable Act, a sweeping new health care bill that will lower Kansans health insurance premiums, strengthen protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and reverse attacks on our health care system.

Rep. Sharice Davids announced today that her Wyandotte County District Office will open on Thursday, March 21. Davids and her staff will mark the occasion with an open house on March 20 from 1 p.m. -5 p.m. to welcome residents to the new space.
"My team and I are committed to being active and engaged in the Wyandotte community and this office is a big part of our effort to be as accessible as possible to our constituents here," said Davids. "All corners of this district deserve to be heard and I hope the people of Wyandotte County will consider this office a resource."
Emphasizing the importance of expanding Medicaid in Kansas, Rep. Sharice Davids has co-sponsored the Incentivizing Medicaid Expansion Act of 2019 (H.R. 584). This bill would incentivize eligible states, including Kansas, to expand Medicaid by starting the amount the federal government matches state's investment for expansion at 100 percent.
Statement from Rep. Sharice Davids on the decision to ground Boeing 737 Max Planes in the US:
"Earlier today, I signed a letter to the Federal Aviation Administration urging it to ground Boeing's 737 Max 8 aircrafts. There is nothing more important than the safety of the American people, and I was relieved to see President's decision to finally ground the 737 Max 8 and Max 9 aircrafts.

"Today I voted in support of a resolution condemning anti-Semitism and anti-Muslim discrimination as forms of bigotry contrary to the values and aspirations of the American people. I stand in strong opposition of all forms of hatred, intolerance and discrimination, and I am deeply concerned about the rise of hate crimes in our country.
Reaffirming her commitment to constituents, Rep. Sharice Davids announced today that she will hold her first Town Hall event on Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m. at St. Andrew Christian Church in Olathe, Kan.
The event will begin with a 30-minute live interview between Davids and Shawnee Mission Post Publisher Jay Senter, followed by questions that Senter selects from the audience. Staff from Rep. Davids' District Office will also be on-hand to assist constituents who need help navigating a federal agency.
Today, Congresswomen Deb Haaland (NM-01) and Sharice Davids (KS-3) introduced a historic resolution recognizing Native American women for Women's History Month, alongside 19 original cosponsors, including Native American Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Tom Cole (OK-4). It is the first time a resolution recognizing Native American women has been introduced in the U.S. House.
