Last year, Davids released a report examining the state of transportation safety in the Third District of Kansas, which found 21 percent of Kansas' pedestrian crash-related deaths in 2020 happened in the Third District.

Today, Representative Sharice Davids announced the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded $6,971,895 for affordable housing, community development, and homeless assistance efforts in Kansas' Third District. Past HUD funding from similar grants has been used to address projects focused on infrastructure, public facilities, community centers, housing rehabilitation, homeowner and rental assistance, and more.

GARDNER, KS - Today, Representative Sharice Davids toured the Gardner Wastewater Infrastructure Project to celebrate passage of her funding request to upgrade essential water infrastructure to support residential and commercial development. Today, Representative Sharice Davids introduced a bipartisan bill designed to help rural hospitals remain open and improve health care services. The Rural Hospital Revitalization Act would offer interest-free loans through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Community Facilities Program. Hospitals could use the loans, available for up to 10 years, to build new facilities or update older buildings.
